What cookies do we use?
This website uses only essential cookies required for basic functionality:
- Session cookies — to maintain your progress through the questionnaire
and link your submission to the correct class
- Authentication cookies — to keep educators and administrators logged
into the backoffice (2-hour duration)
- Security cookies — to protect against malicious requests and duplicate
submissions
No tracking. We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies.
We do not share data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Urs Mueller, Gotenstr. 21, 10829 Berlin, Germany — urs(at)urs-mueller.com
What data do we collect?
For participants:
- Email address — optional. If provided, used to send your PDF report
and to include your responses in the class comparison. If not provided, your responses
are stored without any personal identifier.
- Questionnaire responses — your point allocations across scenarios,
context answers, and derived style scores (stored as numerical values)
- Demographic data — optional fields (age range, gender, industry, etc.)
collected only if you fill them in, used exclusively for aggregate analysis
- Submission timestamp — when you completed the questionnaire
For educators and administrators:
- Email address — for backoffice authentication
- Password — stored as an encrypted hash (bcrypt; cannot be reversed)
- Class data — names and codes for classes you create
Technical data:
- IP addresses — held temporarily in memory for rate-limiting only;
not written to permanent storage
- Session data — temporary cookies to maintain your connection during
the questionnaire
Legal basis for processing
- Core educational use (running the profiler, generating the class aggregate,
sending the PDF report) — Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, legitimate interest in facilitating
leadership development in the executive education context in which participants are enrolled
- Academic research use — Article 6(1)(a) GDPR, freely given and
specific consent, obtained via the separate opt-in on the results page
How do we protect your data?
- Data is stored on a server in Germany
- All data transmission is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS
- Passwords are hashed using bcrypt
- Access is restricted to authorised educators and the administrator
- No data is sold, shared, or transferred to third parties
Who sees your data?
- Educators — see a completion list (email address + submission timestamp)
for their class. They do not see individual scores.
- System administrator — has technical access for maintenance and security
purposes only
- No third parties
Data retention and auto-anonymisation
- Email users: your email address is automatically removed from our records
14 days after your PDF report is sent. Your response data (scores) is retained in
pseudonymous form for aggregate and research purposes.
- Users without email: your responses are stored without any personal
identifier from the moment of submission. They form part of the global aggregate only.
- Demographic data: retained alongside response data; removed together
with it if you exercise your right to withdrawal.
- Educator accounts: retained until deleted by the administrator.
Your rights under GDPR
You have the right to:
- Access — request a copy of your data
